I think a website fee is a great idea. It will give you a little more money to improve things but also a little more restriction so that fakers won't be as inclined to abuse our site.
Let me know where to send the check!
Sieg Heil!!

I agree wholeheartedly. It is a screaming bargain.
Anyone who thinks $20 for a full year of use of this site is either a cheapskate, a sociopath, or not serious about collecting or selling.
That amount and more would easily be paid to sell an item on an online auction or on ePay.
As far as I can tell, this site has plenty of action, and plenty of relics.
Many of the items offered here disappear within hours of them being listed. Others are gone in a few days when the regulars do their once or twice a week searches.
Many items that have been listed for months eventually sell too.
I don't know about the other sellers, but I go through and do limited time price reductions on things, or raise a price, or offer free shipping etc. This keeps things fresh and often a guy will jump on an item I just marked down.
Here you get the offerings of many collectors, pickers, dealers and sometimes the vet's family! If you are a buyer only, it seems like you are paying a fee to only shop and buy.
However, it is still less than a large bag of fries per month to be a member.
If you do not use the selling aspect of the site, you miss out on this whole range of benefits that site membership brings.....
Making a lot of new connections, filling your collecting war chest, and disposing of extra items in a fast convenient economical way. |

| I agree. $20 is nothing compared to what you get. Even if I never bought or sold anything it would still be worth that just to keep up with what things are selling for. And the entertainment value alone would be worth it. I'm more than happy to help support this site because it's the only real bargain I've ever seen in this damn hobby! |

| While I'm on the forum I might as well butt in and say that I don't see how Bob is going to make any money only charging 20 bucks a year and letting someone sell hundreds of items if they want. I guess he has it figured out. Its ok with me I'll pay the 20 without thinking twice. Like you said, its a bargain. |

I agree 100% as well this sight is the BEST DEAL out there for any one who collects, and if your a SELLER, you would be a total nut case to think otherwise.
If you think Ebay is the way, your only fooling yourself, look at your cost to do such, thats if your items even runs a full 7 days or let alone 3 days, with out some nasty SOB reporting you and having your item / items tossed off. And you know thats just the start they as in Ebay then keeps the money you paid to list the item / items so your out as much as this sight would cost you for a full year in a few hours!
Thats if your not thrown off ebay and not allowed to sell for 30 days- or even 60 days, - let alone 90 days, or how about ever again!
How about auction houses that charge you what 20% or more, plus thats if you ever even get paid! |

Before I knew about this site I submitted some militaria to one of the auction houses and it's been almost a year since they sold. I'm still waiting to get my money. Now that I know about this site I think I'll just sell my own militaria from now on. The auction is not taking 20%, they're taking over 30% counting what they charge me and the buyer! |
