I had a member remark to me that he was getting eye strain from looking at our site for long periods while posting ads. The white background was just too bright. I had not given this any thought before, but after his comments I noticed what he ment. So, in an effort to keep you all from going blind, I've added a slight tent to the background on most of our pages. Hope everyone will approve. And speaking of looking at our site.....

When I looked at the site this morning the first thing I noticed was a odd looking dagger in the Gallery. I open it up to take a closer look and saw the goofiest looking thing I've seen in years. I'm sorry I didn't make a copy of the picture to show here, but I was in such a hurry to get the thing off our site that I forgot. It was supposed to be an SS dagger but it didn't look anything like one, total fantasy. It was made of all brass with huge SS runes on the corssguard, and more buffoon appeal than a soup sandwich. No self-respecting Nazi fanatic would have been caught dead with such a thing. Of course, it came with a good story as to how he got it and no guarantee of authenticity (no kidding!) I removed it and sent the seller an email telling him... in just these words ''Please don't put any more junk like this on our site. No response required. ''. I was hacked off that he had the nerve to post such krap in the first place and really didn't care if he liked the way I worded the email or not. After I send the email I sat back and waited for the reply, which I was sure would come. You guessed it, I got back a heated email with the usual excuse that he was no ''expert'' and didn't know it was a fake. Believe me, any collector who has been in the hobby more than 2 weeks would have known this was junk. Then he got aggressive and started ''threatening'' to cancel his subscription and take his business elsewhere etc. etc..

We don't need people like this on our site. They are trouble just waiting to happen and besides their stuff makes the site look bad. I'm sure none of you would have bought the thing anyway, but it's better gone.

I sent him his full refund and emailed him ''Full refund made, subscription cancelled''. That's it, nothing else. Of course I got a reply with the usual curses and threats. I've now blocked his emails.

Here's the point of the story. As I've said before, when it comes to ''policeing'' our site, I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't. The next time you hear someone bad-mouthing us, consider the source and keep in mind that we can't do our job and make everyone happy.
