Faker removed from site.... Plus follow-up

People post fakes on our site every day... and we remove some every day. Often it's because they really think their stuff is real... or they just don't know. In these cases I just remove it and send them an email telling them it was removed because it was bad. An I end it with that. This is usually followed by my receiving a return email of the following nature.

1. I didn't know it was fake and won't do it again.

2. How can you ''prove'' it's fake?

3. How do you ''know'' it's fake?

4. You sorry no good son of a..................

About half want to argue about it, the other half just accept it graciously. No one likes to be told their stuff is fake.

Then we have the other type seller. This guy ''knows'' his stuff is bad, but because he is so greedy for money and because he thinks we are all so stupid, he can't resist trying our site to see if he can get away with it.

Such a person is Mark Morton of Atlanta, Ga.. He just posted a fake ''Herman Goring'' hat... not the unit mind you, but Goring's personal M43. A real piece of Pakistani krap. Plus he added a fake Nazi vase some other stuff, and of course, a couple of fake SS rings. (I understand he has these made). His reputation precedes him, so as soon as I saw his name I started watching his activity. All his stuff has been removed and his account deactivated.

To further show how slippery this guy is, he has been doing, what might be called, some ''minor hacking'' on the site. I won't give specifics because I don't want to help any other bad guys that might read this, but I notice in his account info that he has played around using a fake email and messed with his user name and password. I guess this is an attempt to confuse me... who knows? Any way, it didn't work.

Normally I wouldn't post this about someone listing fakes. But this is so blatantly an attempt to rip all of you off that I just had to warn everyone.

I just read your comments on Mark Morton.

He is a crook! He rented a vender space in a antique mall in Atlanta, Ga. where he sold these type of WW2 Artifacts this is where I found his site on the internet two years ago....anyway...I had contacted him about two SS Flags that I saw he had for sale....when he sent me pictures of them at that time I was alittle supicious about one of them..I then questioned him about this..after what he told me about that flag he had me convinced that it was real...I paid $1600 for it and the other $1200. When the flags arrived in the mail at my home I immediately went to another friend of mine who is a collector but has 45 years experIence with buying...selling..and appraising. By using a inspection lupe and a black light he pointed out to me that is was a instant fake! from their on out I know how to spot these type of fakes...now the other SS Flag was real.

I immediately contacted him about that flag to tell him that I wanted a refund and to tell him it was a phony...would you know the E-mail that he gave me was no good...so the next step I took with him was that I contacted that Antique where he was selling this stuff...and would you believe that the owner of that place told me that he had several complaints about him selling things that were fakes...for example..those rings that he had for sale on your site where probably made in Poland..because that place is very famous for producing repos especailly those SS Rings they are so good at making fakes that it could fool almost anyone!. The owner also told me that he had kicked him out of his place!!! I then told him what he did to me and if he knew where I could get ahold of him..he then gave me his home telephone number...I then called Mark and believe it of not I got a hold of him and demaned that he give me my $1600 Dollars back!!! He told me that it was not a fake but I was not in the mood to hear any of his bullshit...but after I threatened him by telling him either you give me my money back I would contact his local Police Dept...At first he was acting like a F-ucking b*****d about it..then he finally refunded my cash back and told me to never contact him ever again! I told him that trust me I NEVER will!

Anyway..when I saw that he put some s**t on your site today..I was going to contact you immediately about him and tell you that he is a crook!! But you beat me to it!!!!

I'm happy you are wise to this idiot because it's the honest people who suffer the most when it comes to this type of dishonesty...and the way things are today..people don't need to lose money like this.
