| #A235 in the for sale section is a cufftitle ''SS-ubungslager Dachau''. I would like to hear what other collectors think about this piece. I asked the moderator of the site about it and he said he ''was not qualified'' to make a judgement on it, so he would let it stay on the site and let the collectors decide for themselves. Is it good or bad? |

The item is being `sold as is` It may be OK, and maybe.....? It can be awfully hard to tell without a great deal of experience. What if it isn`t?
If a seller is so sure of an item then why would they not allow an inspection, especially where a significant amount of money is at stake?

I would not venture to verify or debunk this item from simply viewing the photos. (It is a nicely executed item visually)
Nor does the extremely low asking price serve to indicate a bad piece. (In the past I found a MINT real Deutschland gothic EM cufftitle, for $80 and a flatwire Skull cufftitle for $200! .. 2 VERY big mistakes by the sellers!)
I wonder though, why there are no RZM tags or residue from tags on this RZM regulated and inspected insignia. I further wonder why this item is sold with no approval period.
The typical inspection period has been traditionally 3 days. With no inspection period whatsoever, I personally would not purchase it.
Again I wish to stress that photographs are a great asset to the decision making process. Good pics can go a long way toward helping a person know if an item is of interest.
Poor pics make me suspicious, because I know how easy it is to get decent results. Look at my photographs and see if you do not agree that you can really tell a lot about any item from them.
I urge every seller to put good information and pictures, with their sales items. We need to have a good site with good items, if we want a reliable and continuing source for relics to be here. |
