This dagger for sale on the site (#F1991) looks pretty cool. I was wondering why the guy who was supposed to buy it didn't? If you read this I would sure like to know. Im sure its rare but is it really worth $7500? Or was there some porblem with it you found out about?

In responce to your questions; The fellow that did not buy it has had issue with cash flow, just as many folks have at times, He wants, he just can't put together funds at this time. Dose that imply that there is a problem with it? Not hardly. as a matter of fact if one were to view Wittmans Luftwaffe book it would be an easy call to see its just fine.

Yes indeed its rare to find a Voos marked etched dagger, let alone just a plain Jane Luftwaffe 2nd with this makers mark in this daggers overall condition would run you $1200.00 or more. Add on an Ivory grip toss on $2500.00 - $3000.00, add on a Monogram and you can add in an easy $250.00 PLUS. Toss on a rare portepee varaition and add on yet $200.00 more on the low side. Now looking at Voos style etche on Luftwaffe 2nd daggers with Bakelite grips and the prices asked are on at least 4 big named dealers sights, between; $4500.00 - $5999.00 . One such dealer has a Marked Voos with etched blade & ivory grip thats been well cleaned up to look mint; Price $11,000.00 So is the price Hight at $7500.00 on one that is "UNCLEANED, With a Monogran, with an Early Trademarked blade, with and Ivory grip, and Rare portepee varaition, let alone an etched blade that is textbook?" Well I tend to think not, If one feels it is to high - then try and find a like example for less. I think most will agree thats not going to happen any time soon.
