I noticed a grouping of ''Schlageter'' items for sale on our site. Item #: F2590

There are a couple of badges and a cufftitle. I am not qualified to comment on the badges, but thought I would say something about the cufftitle. Before everyone starts wondering if it's real or not, let me say that it is absolutely genuine. How do I know? You might say that I'm the original source. Back in the 70's another collector and myself sent letters to a batch of East German manufacturers who had produced insignia during the Reich. We asked if they had any Nazi insignia left over that they would like to sell. All the Schlageter cufftitles circulating around (that look like this one) are the result of our purchasing a batch of this old insignia from one of these firms. Before that, no one had ever seen one. Some of the cufftitles were in such bad shape from age and improper storage that they had to be destroyed. The remander we sold off. Actually I have a couple left myself from the batch. So, that's it. It's good!

Thanks for the heads up on these cufftitles. I've seen a couple before and had been told they were fakes. Just goes to show how collectors can draw the wrong conclusion. Just because several like pieces show up all at once they think they must be fakes.
