The family of a veteran friend brought me a number of things to price for them so they could sell them. In looking through the stuff I found two bayonetts, one an Eickhorn and one unmarked and both had the SS stamping on the ricasso typical of what you see on swords. I almost overlooked the markings but they are there. From the smell of the stuff (including 3 thick after action feports for the 3rd Army) it had been years since anyone had looked at it. Any ideas out there about them?
