should the prongs on the pip show on the back of this band or should they be covered with a cloth? Anybody know?

Sure, why not? The PL who owned it probably just got promoted and so he put a pip on it. However, the pip could have been put on later by a collector. There really is no way to tell. Either way, I don't think if affects the value at all. Very Happy

Not all of these armband had the prongs covered. Check out my mint orts level armband number F2136. This is an unissued armband and the prongs are showing. I just realized that I do not have a picture of the prongs showing. I will go into the main site and edit it and show a picture of the prongs.
