I see eBay being referenced as eban on the other larger online forum that so many people are on.
I started to wonder why they were using eBan to refer to eBay. Could it be fear of the mindless monster that ebay is, and its army of lawyers? Could they be worrying that they can be destroyed by the power of the megalomaniacal international megacorporate beast?
Or is it simply a way to hurl an insult back, after the ban on selling legal third reich relics at that site was enacted, and threw so many people's plans and work into the crapper?
Whatever the reason is, a great many of them continue to search that site and post links to objects for sale there. |

The reason people call it eban is because about 90% of all WW2 items get cancelled thanks to the snitches which we call the ebay gestapo. List something on there with a swastika and see how long it takes for the rats to get it booted. This is the truth!

| I buy some items off ebay and every once in awhile you find a merit cross for sale or something. Usually the seller adds a red dot over the swastika to block it from view. Also i have seen some people sell tickets that entitle them to the ownership of an eBay banned item. Example: You sell a ticket to an iron cross so the bidder is buying this ticket and not the item. You just post pictures of the item and provide a link to them. |

I have never heard of that strategy before but don't worry some eban gestapo snitch would find out about it and then they would start cancelling the tickets! What I can't figure out is why does ebay have a WW2 German catagory if they don't allow the stuff to be sold? What do they think they are going to find in that catagory?

| i know they do list 1957 remakes. A dealer i buy medals from sells 1957 legal version knights crosses with the letter from the company that makes them (Steinhuck or something). But they are not period items or anything. Just legal versions that were probably made somewhat recently. They look nice and all but they sell for $280. I dont see why you would buy a 1957 legal version for so much. |

Myself I would not want to own a 1957 version of the award. If I can't find the real thing I would rather go without!

| Im not a big fan of altering history because a symbol was given an offensive meaning by facist government. I just think banning the swastika and everything has gone a bit overboard. I had to explain to someone why i had a woundbadge with a swastika and that i collect militaria. |

I do the same thing with my neighbors when I take pictures of my big flags and aslo my daggers. I explain to them that I just collect this stuff because of history and the value of it.
