Ok, here is the situation.

First the good news. You can all start answering ads again. The email system is all fixed and running properly. So, if you sent someone an emial recently and did not get an answer, you can try them again.

Now the bad news. Unfortunately in order to fix our problem we had to do a system restore back to May 16. This means that the site was set as it was on that date. All ads placed after that are gone. Everyone who subscribed after that date, their membership record is gone. So, relist your ads. Unfortunatly, we could not salvage any of this because of the chance of corrupting script hidden in the data. This did not affect the Blog or the Forum because they are seperate from the main site.

Most web masters would keep the details of what happened a secret. But, I do not believe in secrets and think you should know. We were the victim of a hacker attack. There is no way to know if the SOB singled us out specifically, or if he picked us at random, either way he did some damage. I am just glad it was not worse and we were able to recover without loosing more. Of course we had security, but now we have tightened it up even more. Hopefully this will not happen again.

To all members who were inconvenienced by this... my appology. Now we can all get back to business.
