Fellas, you guys are 100% correct,,when I started the thread I only wanted to bring to light what happend,, so it wouldn't happen to others,,my motives were pure,I was trying to look out for my fellow collectors,not to have people on my side or win any argument. Quite franky, I didnt need the flags but since the same seller had two nice looking ones,,I thought what the heck,but, there are alot more flags out there. And yes I suppose I got baited into an argument and maybe could have said things differently.
I do not intend to leave the site, only try to be a little wiser in my dealings perhaps, I appriciate your responses to my comments. thanks,Tim |

I congratulate Jasper on trying to present a focused and helpful point of view.
We are trying hard to have the forum be a platform for reasonable discourse.
I believe that the predominant reason for coming to the site is buying and selling.
I also think this website has a selection of militaria that is on par with almost any other resource available on the net.
Still I feel the site would be more vibrant with more postings of links, facts and photos, in the areas of collecting that are listed on the main forum pages.
I hope there are more contributors adding content of interest to all.

We all get a little hot under the collar when things do not work out well. It is understandable. Sometimes it is good just to blow it off and move on.
I think everybody understood your intent and your reason to post a caution notification. You did get that right. What they decide to think about that situation, is up to each member.
I did feel that the content of the conversation did not present either person in a complimentary manner.
I am sure we are all pleased, that you have not been so frustrated as to lose perspective.We all took note of your feelings about the situation and also we now see you bouncing back. I hope your future deals will all go as smoothly, and end as satisfactorily as the one you and I did a while back!
I am really sorry that he was not able to work with you, for a resolution that made you both happy. We are glad both of you are here. Please, everybody try and be polite and focused. |
